We’re proud to offer a wide selection of natural skins sourced direct from West Africa. These djembe drum and buffalo medicine drum heads come in four thickness options ranging from Thin to Extra Thick—and are available either shaved or with the hair on.

Each skin is hand-selected from our inventory of all-natural hides imported from Mali and  Guinea. Before shipping, every skin is inspected for natural flaws or defects that could affect sound quality or durability. 

Finish Options:

Shaved:
Pre-shaved and washed, these skins are ready for soaking and mounting with minimal prep. Some light sanding may be needed for a perfectly smooth surface.

Hair-On:
These skins are washed and dried flat with the hair intact. They must be shaved before use on a drum.
